Winter Wonderland kicking off at Shropshire business

A winter wonderland has been erected at a Shropshire farm shop to give children a chance to meet Santa and get their requests in before the big day.
Apley Farm Shop, on the A442 between Telford and Bridgnorth, has created a grotto alongside an elf workshop and all the festive decorations you can imagine.
The lucky ones who get to see it will also get a gift, the chance to post a letter to Santa and make reindeer food.
Linda Harris, Business Development Manager at Apley, said: “We are so excited to have our Winter Wonderland all set up and ready for our special guest this month.
“The air is filled with scents of homemade mince pies and the twinkle of festive lights and we know our guests will thoroughly enjoy wandering through the beautiful festive courtyard to find Santa’s Grotto, a cozy, magical hideaway where Santa awaits to hear your Christmas wishes.
“There are lots of activities for children to do before meeting Santa himself and afterwards you can enjoy everything on offer at Apley Farm Shop such as the independent shops, farm shop, Kitchen Cafe with a festive menu and Playbarn too.
“We encourage people to get their tickets early as they often sell out quickly.”
The Grotto will be in place at Apley from December 13 to 24 and promises to be a fantastic occasion for all the family.
Tickets must be booked in advance and can be done so on the Apley website.
Apley is also the custodian of 1,500 acres of woodland, a further 3,500 acres of in hand farmland farmed to high environmental standards and 3,500 acres of let farmland, as well as award winning wedding venue Stockton House and Apley on the High Street, a café in Bridgnorth Town Centre.
Each venture is run and managed with a vision for heritage, environment and community, with each decision carefully considering restoration, sustainability and developing relationships.
