Apley is always popular at any time of the year, but nothing beats it when spring has sprung and the calendar is filling up!
2025 is no different and there is plenty to look forward to this year!
This month we have a special afternoon tea treat or tasty Sunday lunch on offer for those special people to celebrate on Mothers Day on March 30th. There will be cream tea in the Food Hall and Love your Mum Hampers available too, the perfect opportunity to show your mum how much you appreciate her!
Just a week later on April 6th is the Vintage Tractor Road Run. We are delighted that Apley will be the start and end point for this amazing event which has raised more than £100,000 for Midlands Aid Ambulance Charity in the 26 years it’s been running! Organised by Bridgnorth Vintage Vehicle Club, we’ll have bacon butties ready for breakfast before they set off at 10am and we’re told to expect more than 125 tractors – so we’ll make sure there’s lots of bacon in!
Blink and it will be Easter. We’ll have special Easter events running from Saturday 12th to Sunday 20th April. These will include a play and find Easter egg hunt, Easter bonnet making in the play barn and much more – it is sure to be a great occasion for people of all ages to enjoy.
Last year we held the first ever Colour Run at Apley and we’re delighted to say it’s returning! In aid of Lingen Davies Cancer Fund, the Colour Fest will take place on May 17th. The day was so much fun last year and all for a good cause too – we can’t wait to see all the smiles and happy faces on the day as well as the bursts of bright colour!
Heading into the summer, we will have the Dog Show and Country Festival held at Apley on June 1st. This always promises to be a popular event and we urge visitors to ensure they buy their tickets in plenty of time to avoid missing out. Organised in conjunction with K9, there will be food offerings from the wonderful Apley Farm Shop, stallholders and of course many many of our four-legged friends!
We won’t let Fathers Day on June 15th go by without recognising all the dads with a special treat – and they might be interested to attend the next big event the following month too…
On July 20th we’ll have the annual Classic Motor Day at Apley when local enthusiasts will show off their classic motors. There will once again be stallholders and food on offer and also there will be an Auto Jumble sale and music and a DJ too – it’s sure to be a fantastic event, just like in years gone by!
But we won’t stop there, look out for more information soon about summer markets, food festivals, children’s events over the summer holiday, the Country Show, Wrekin Road Runners 10km race and the usual celebrations and activities for Halloween, fireworks night, Christmas markets and Santa meet and greets too – but we think it’s a little early to start talking about that just yet!
So watch out for more information coming soon!
And remember, we want to make the most of our beautiful setting and surroundings by opening up to as many people on as many occasions as possible.
So, if you would like to use Apley or any of the buildings in our estate, such as Stockton House, we regularly hire our spaces out and there is still some availability for 2025, so just get in touch.
