Second half of the year shaping up to be a busy one at Apley

The first half of 2025 was a particularly busy and extremely enjoyable time here at Apley, but we are now totally focused on the rest of the year and looking forward to the variety of amazing attractions and activities we have on offer over the coming months.

All roads lead to Apley when it comes to having a good time and we are always thrilled to see so many visitors turning out to support us – there really is something that appeals to everyone over the course of the year and, just so you don’t miss out, today we are telling you about what is up and coming on our calendar.

Let’s begin with our Classic Motor Day on Sunday, July 20th – it’s the perfect opportunity for local enthusiasts to show off their classic motors to an appreciative audience in the glorious . . . we hope . . . summer sunshine! There will be a variety of classic vehicles on show and the owners will be only too pleased to share their passion and answer those technical questions you’re just longing to ask.

There will be plenty of other things going on around the main event including food and drink, music and DJ and an array of stallholders for your browsing pleasure. So motor along to Apley on July 20th and join in the fun.

Moving on to August, we have summer markets and food festivals taking place on various dates over the course of the month when we are proud to host a range of food and craft producers. Take your time to explore the amazing delicacies and products on offer.

Come and peruse Moongate Garden Centre, paint a pottery masterpiece to remember your summer visit or taste the delights of our onsite bakery – this and much more, there’s always reasons to pay us a visit.

During the summer holidays we will be hosting a Teddy Bears’ Picnic – a specific event aimed at children but one that can be enjoyed by the whole family. Keep an eye on our website for more details nearer the time and save the date so that you won’t miss it.

Still in September and Apley becomes the focal point for the Wrekin Road Runners 10km Race. These types of events have become more and more popular in recent years and we are looking forward to welcoming runners and spectators here on September 28th.

Things then get really spooky in October when we gear up for Halloween

We will be getting our visitors in the mood from early that month with a scary feel in and around Apley. And you can celebrate Halloween big time with us at the end of the month with our Pumpkin Patch and Tractor Ride or Story Tent, music, a fairground and pumpkin carving.

Our Bonfire and Fireworks Display will be held on Saturday, November

1st, and then it will be time to look forward to our weekend Christmas Markets. Keep a look-out for dates nearer the time but we can tell you that those events will include crafter stalls.

We will be hosting Santa Meet & Greet days on various days throughout December. The ideal opportunity for our younger visitors to talk to the great man before things get really busy for him on Christmas Eve.
